Student Ministry
The Student Ministry Department of KCC, consisting of all Middle School and High School Students, exists to challenge students to be PLANTED in, GROW from, and LIVE out Colossians 2:6-7:
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Colossians 2:6-7
To accomplish this mission, KCC offers an intensive discipleship program called ROOT 267. There are three levels that encompass this ministry. These levels increase in commitment as students grow and enter each level to become more engaged in active discipleship. If you are new to KCC, the entry point will be level 1; THE PLANT LEVEL. See below for an explanation of these levels.
LEVEL 1: THE PLANT LEVEL
This is the introductory level. You are in the PLANT level of KCC if you are: visiting and/or attending KCC's Worship Service and/or outreach events and activities. These events include but are not limited to Camp, Youth Retreats, CIY, Summer Events, Triple R, Beach Trips, etc. Check out the CALENDAR for all of the upcoming "PLANT" Level events scheduled. LEVEL 2: THE GROW LEVEL
You are in the GROW level of KCC if you are: participating in the "PLANT" level opportunities and have a consistent attendance in Sunday morning and mid-week Bible studies. These studies are Sundays from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. An optional program associated with this level of discipleship is called "The Family Experience", which encourages families of teens to participate in discipleship together. LEVEL 3: THE LIVE LEVEL
You are in the LIVE level of KCC if you are: participating in the "PLANT" and "GROW" levels as well as intensive D-Group meetings, service ministry projects and prospect visitations. This level requires an application process which can be downloaded HERE. It is the committed students in this level of the ministry that are enrolled in KCC's free trips throughout the year.
